Joint Entrance Examination - IIT JEE is an entrance exam for admission in undergraduate courses in engineering in Indian Institute of Technologies (IITs). Indian Institute of Technologies are the most prestigious institutes for engineering education in India. Besides IITs, IT BHU, Varanasi and ISMU, Dhanbad take admission in their undergraduate courses in engineering. Preparation for IIT JEE needs special effort and determination because the level of questions asked in IIT JEE is higher than other engineering entrance examinations.

Application Form IIT JEE:
Candidates may download the Application Form. After completing the form, send it to the Admissions Officer along with a required amount of demand draft.

Eligibility for IIT JEE: The candidate should have passed the class 12th or equivalent exams with at least 60% marks (55% for reserved category). He/she should not be more than 25 (30 for reserved category) years as on 1st October 2011. Candidates who have passed 12th in 2011 or are appearing in 2011 can apply for IIT JEE.

  • Date of exam: April 11, 2011
  • Result Date: May 26, 2011
  • On-line filling of choices: May 27 to June 09, 2011
Pattern of examination:
There are two papers of 3 hours duration each in IIT JEE 2011. Both papers have objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There will also be negative marking for incorrect answers.

The examination will be on April 11, 2011 (Sunday)
Paper-I: 9:00 AM-12:00 Noon (IST)
Paper-II: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM (IST)
